NOCN Presentation Day

Torrential downpours were not going to prevent us from holding our annual NOCN presentation day for the students that had successfully completed their educational courses to receive their NOCN certificates. The large rear barn was converted temporarily into a stage and seating area, with all of the horses looking on expectantly in their boxes. We managed to seat about 100 parents, carers, teachers and students together with the Greatwood Trustees and Patrons present as well.

47 students received their certificates from the following schools: St Johns, Springfields, John Bentley, Stonehenge, Abbeyfields, St Edmunds, Lavington, Rowdeford, Downlands, Corsham School, St Nicholas, Wiltshire College, The Lighthouse Project and YPSS.

We were delighted when Marlborough Mayor, Cllr Edwina Fogg, retired jump jockey Richard Pitman, and BBC pundit and former Grand National winner Mick Fitzgerald all agreed to present the certificates to the students.

It was a wonderful celebration of achievement which was enjoyed by all, especially the horses! We would like to say an extremely BIG thank you to Edwina, Richard and Mick for their time and kind words on the day, and also to our Patrons and Trustees who took time out of their busy schedules to attend. Most of all we would like to say CONGRATULATIONS to all of the students for not only receiving their certificates, but for coming to Greatwood and bringing so much joy to all the staff & animals on a daily basis.
