Pride of Greatwood

Kirk Lauf was nominated for a Pride of Swindon award having volunteered at Greatwood for the past 3 years. Kirk, an employee of INTEL in Swindon, has helped to set up Greatwood's network of computers and laptops and donated numerous computers, software, hardware and printers to the charity.

In 2011 Kirk volunteered close to 140 hours to the charity and help Greatwood to become one of only two UK charities supported by the INTEL Foundation. For every voluntary hour that any employee of INTEL donates to Greatwood the charity receives $10.

Kirk was awarded his Pride of Swindon award at an awards ceremony hosted by the Mayor of Swindon, Cllr. Ray Ballman, at the Great Western Steam Museum on March 22nd, and is seen here with Greatwood's Fundraiser Melanie Gee.

Everyone at Greatwood would like to say a big thank you to Kirk for all of his efforts on our behalf - he truly has been a Godsend!
