Lucas and Shane, 15, from Downlands School have been working hard to design a ‘Bird café’ for
the Greatwoodgarden.
They have designed and created dishes such as raison kebabs, popcorn strings and a variety of
bird seed cups to feature in the café. The duo set up the nature camera to catch the main
visitors to the garden.
They hope to see Robins, Blue tits, Blackbirds, Chaffinch and Sparrows. Shane commented, “I
would like to catch a Sparrow-Hawk visiting the café!” As the season draws on, new chefs will
make some tasty dishes to feed the bird boom at Greatwood.
Greatwoodwould like to thank Lucas and Shane for their culinary delights and hard work in
the kitchen.
