Greatwood
Et ha n ’ s Ac r o s t i c Ab i l i t i e s
Helping students with their literacy is a key part of the Horse Power programme. Many students
benefit from the extra support they receive at Greatwood and this is often noticed by their
teachers back at school.
As part of the sessions this month, students have been set the challenge of writing an acrostic
poem about Greatwood. There have been many great pieces of work but particular praise has to go
to Ethan for writing such a fantastic poem, which you can all read below. Not only has Ethan
managed to think of a sentence for each letter of the word Greatwood, he has even managed to
make it rhyme and include similes and alliteration. Well done Ethan for a fantastic piece of work.
Although, I’m not sure about the ‘rather unstylish teachers’ comment! Surely we look trendy every
day?!
