Greatwood
Enjoying the Summer Sun!
A few lucky students have been able to enjoy the summer sun and our garden this month! Mike
the Mower has cut the grass and we have pulled our purple bean bags out of the cupboard. What
a pleasure it was to sit in the garden to complete our work on Health and Safety at Greatwood.
The students were pleased to enjoy the fresh air and relaxing surroundings of the sensory and
vegetable garden. As they enjoyed the atmosphere, some of the most impressive work was
completed - all students drew detailed diagrams about how to stay safe on the farm and showed
they had listened well to the teaching session.
Also, a special mention to James, who has been combating his fear of dogs. He always asks an
adult if he can stroke them and has learnt that they enjoy having fun and playing as much as he
does! His friends from Rowdeford have been amazing as they have encouraged and supported him
through his personal challenge. Which dogs will James meet next month?!
