Race Yard Visit
Our Get Going students were very lucky to be invited to visit a
highly successful racing yard. The learners went to Barbury Castle
stables and had the chance to meet Alan King, a trainer with over
31years experience. We watched the warm up in the outdoor
school and then walked up to the gallops to see the horses at
work. A great experience, despite the wet weather!
This was all followed by a tour of the stables and a chance to meet
some of the equine stars. We would really like to give a huge
Thank You to Alan and his staff for taking time in their busy
schedule to show us round. Opportunities like this often provide
the inspiration for our learners to envisage a place for themselves
in the racing industry.
