Greatwood
New Banksy style artists discovered at Greatwood
Who knew what a talented bunch of artists we have at Greatwood? During our emotional literacy
sessions this term, students have been focussing on positive qualities that we see in our role
models and also those within the group. It’s all too easy to pick out the bad points in each other so
these exercises were a great way to realise just how many positive qualities we really have. When
was the last time you said something nice to your neighbour or somebody at school?
To help us pick out these qualities, students armed themselves with chalk and were allowed to
graffiti over a wall in the orchard. It was great to see everybody being creative and writing lots
of positive words. Some of the artists challenged themselves to draw fantastic works of art to
show these qualities, giving Bansky a run for his money!
We were especially impressed with Nicole for choosing really bright colours and drawing what is
important to her during the session. You definitely highlighted positive qualities and continued
your work the following week by complementing others. I hope you enjoyed receiving your
compliments from your team.
