Greatwood
Ne i gh i n g Wi t h De l i gh t !
It’s important that we take responsibility for looking after our four legged friends and in line
with the RSCPA’s Five Freedoms, students have been busy implementing them when working
with the goats, sheep, donkeys, Shetland ponies and Thoroughbreds.
Ensuring our animals are free from hunger and thirst and free from discomfort, students have
worked hard to ensure correct feed has been given to a variety of animals and that they have
all received a nice comfortable and warm bed upon their return from the days outing in the
fields.
Well done to students from St Johns, Devizes, St Bartholomew’s and Rowdeford School who
have all worked tirelessly throughout the week to care for all the animals here at Greatwood.
The sheep could be heard bleating and the Shetland ponies neighing with delight once you had
fed them some tasty treats. They have been extremely well looked after this term!
