Chloe's Success Story
Chloe’s placement at Greatwood was commissioned by the Wiltshire Council Special Education Needs Team. Chloe was keen to continue studying Maths and English and had a love of horses.
Things had not been easy for Chloe, she had found education challenging due to a diagnosis of Autism and extreme anxiety. She also had dyslexia and dyspraxia which made learning difficult.
The Greatwood team’s first goal was to make sure that Chloe was made to feel welcome and safe. Trusting relationships were built and Chloe went from strength to strength, gaining confidence in her abilities as a learner. Classroom based learning studying for Functional Skills English and Maths were supported by real life problem solving on the yard working with the horses.
We are incredibly proud to say that Chloe passed her Level 1 Functional Skills English Examination and her Entry Level 3 Maths examination in the Summer. Chloe will be continuing her studies at Greatwood, hoping to gain a Level 2 English and Level 1 Maths qualification.
